The Beginning (Department)

The Fire Department was created in 2004 to provide Emergency Services to the northern portion of Gregg County.  The organization was initiated by a local family that felt the need to have a dedicated fire protection department in the area of Judson.  With generous donations, grants, and training the department has grown to what it is today.  In 2019, Gregg County Voters approved switching from an all donation funded organization to ESD (Tax Funded).  Since its creation, we have vastly increased our services.
